Full Mission statement

At IMPCT Sport, we believe the future of sport belongs to everyone; not just the already-established traditional pathways of today.

Across the world, emerging and non-mainstream sports are growing rapidly through passionate communities, online audiences, and grassroots participation. Yet despite their momentum, access, opportunity and wider visibility for these sports remains fragmented, and clear development pathways often don’t exist.

We exist to change that.

We are building a platform, and a system, that impacts sport through education, participation, achievable progression, community and attainment. Our aim is to make the discovery of a new sport feel realistic and accessible, whether someone wants to compete seriously, stay active socially, or simply try something different.

This pathway begins with access. A major part of our model is introducing emerging sports directly into education. Through our structured programmes, students and young people would be provided with regular, fresh experiences in sport through taster sessions, workshops, and coaching delivered alongside local clubs and athletes. These programmes are designed not only to inspire participation, but to create sustainable growth for the wider ecosystem of emerging sports. By connecting our audiences directly with these clubs and bodies, we begin to strengthen long-term visibility at both local and national levels, opening doors to revenue opportunities that benefit those corresponding groups.

But discovery is only the beginning. Once an initial connection with a particular sport is developed, IMPCT Sport provides a pathway to progression. Through our school programmes, partner clubs and digital platform, Your IMPCT, users can follow structured training pathways from beginner level through to amateur and competitive standards. The platform is designed to deliver clear direction and guidance, making progress feel realistic and motivating regardless of experience level. Access to Your IMPCT is included for students involved in partnered education programmes, to provide all the tools needed to continue developing beyond a single session or event.

Media and community sit at the centre of how IMPCT Sport brings people into emerging sports. Through IMPCT Weekly, our free newsletter, we spotlight a different sport, athlete, or story each week. From interviews and community stories, to debates and behind-the-scenes insight, the goal is to give overlooked sports the attention they deserve while helping new audiences understand what makes them special. Each article concludes with a simple and practical guide explaining to readers how they can get involved themselves, whether as a participant, spectator, or supporter. We want people to leave inspired, but also knowing exactly where to begin. IMPCT Weekly also creates promotional opportunities for governing bodies, clubs and brands looking to reach new relevant audiences. Through featured articles and partnerships, we help direct visibility and participation toward the wider ecosystem.

Beyond digital content, we aim to focus on strengthening existing communities through real-world interaction. Through IMPCT Live, we organise in-person group sessions that connect athletes from intertwining sports together. Through informal group chats, newsletter announcements, and local partnerships, structured accessibility has never been easier. These sessions give newcomers the chance to test waters at a comfortable social level, whilst also helping existing athletes kindle new friendships. We already run shared community groups connecting freestyle footballers, break dancers and calisthenics athletes, and that crossover has shown how much stronger these scenes become when people grow alongside each other rather than separately. That’s a big part of the vision behind IMPCT Sport. Not simply growing these sports in isolation, but building an interconnected and dynamic system where they can share audiences, opportunities and cultures, whilst maintaining their own identities.

Our long-term vision extends beyond programmes and training. As the ecosystem grows, we aim to host large-scale multi-day festivals known as IMPCT Nexus events, bringing together multiple sports and venues within a single connected hub experience; a combination of professional showcases, competitions, workshops, amateur tournaments, social experiences, food and music. Featured at these festivals would be the next generation of athletes: students and newcomers who discovered their sport through our programmes, and committed themselves to progression. Through dedicated amateur divisions, participants from across the country will have the opportunity to compete against one another at similar experience levels in an environment focused on development, community and achievement. The vision is bigger than simply hosting sporting events. We want to create spaces that feel welcoming, exciting and social for everyone involved; ultimately ones that inspire athletes and spectators alike, while bringing greater prospect and visibility to our sports.

At our core, we’re here to make a change. There are sports out there that deserve more than just recognition. They deserve opportunity. Growth. Sustainability. They deserve a stronger platform, stronger infrastructure, and a generation of people willing to help them grow. They need you. For you to make your IMPCT on Sport.
